MYRTLE HOUSE
Creating lasting change through compassion, creativity, and connection
Our Work
Myrtle House Ltd is a registered charity and social impact organisation based in Llanelli, South West Wales. With deep roots in local community action, we respond to urgent needs while building long-term solutions - through early years education, food access, wellbeing initiatives, and meaningful employment opportunities.
We deliver community-driven projects that support children, families, and individuals through childcare, food access, wellbeing services, and social enterprise.
Myrtle House Nursery
Trusted childcare that helps families thrive.
Myrtle House Nursery provides high-quality, affordable childcare for children aged 0–5 in a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment. With over 20 years of service, the nursery remains a cornerstone of support for working families in Llanelli.
Our team of experienced, caring staff support every child’s development through creative learning, play-based activities, and tailored care. As a charitable nursery, all surplus is reinvested into improving services and supporting families who need it most.

Llanelli Food Project
Together, Building a Future Where Everyone Has Enough
The Llanelli Food Project began as Llanelli Foodbank and has grown into a holistic, community-led network offering food support, advice, skills development, and volunteering opportunities. This includes the Pathways Project, which brings these strands together into a joined-up programme focused on food, wellbeing, and connection, while also creating opportunities for people to learn new skills and get involved through volunteering.
Our approach includes:
Llanelli Foodbank: Emergency food and essential supplies for individuals and families in crisis
Money Support Project: Supporting people in financial crisis through advice, advocacy, and coaching—including our CMA Connect Centre at Myrtle House, which offers debt advice, budgeting support, benefits guidance, and coaching to build long-term financial resilience
Community Life Hubs: Local access points offering coordinated wraparound support
Wraparound Support: Signposting, debt and benefits advice, and wellbeing referrals
Volunteer Pathways: Meaningful roles that build skills, confidence, and connection
Pathways Project: A joined-up programme made possible through UK Shared Prosperity Fund support. It includes Community Table, a welcoming café and kitchen offering meals, workshops and volunteering, and a community garden where people grow food, connect with others, and support their wellbeing.
Through trusted relationships, strong partnerships, and the insight of our Lived Experience Advisory Panel (LEAP), we are creating a more just and supportive community for all.
Gallery | Art + Coffee
Coffee. Creativity. Community.
Gallery is a warm, welcoming social enterprise café in the heart of Llanelli. We serve Illy coffee, homemade meals, and showcase art, crafts, and gifts from local creatives.
More than a coffee shop, Gallery is a space for creativity, connection, and community change. We offer employment and volunteer placements, creative workshops, and a place where everyone feels they belong. Every purchase supports the wider charitable work of Myrtle House Ltd.
