JOIN THE TEAM

At Myrtle House, volunteering is about more than giving time—it’s about offering hope, sharing friendship, and building a stronger community together.

Whether you’re serving meals, sorting donations, lending a listening ear, or helping behind the scenes, your time and heart can make a lasting difference in someone’s life.

Why Volunteer?

  • Make a Real Difference

By volunteering, you directly support individuals and families in Llanelli facing food insecurity, poverty, and hardship. Your time and effort will have a tangible impact on people's lives.

  • Build a Stronger Community

Join a network of compassionate people working together to create a more supportive, connected, and resilient community. Your involvement helps build relationships and reduce social isolation.

  • Develop New Skills

Volunteering offers the opportunity to learn new skills, whether it’s in food distribution, gardening, event coordination, or mentoring. You’ll gain valuable experience while contributing to a meaningful cause.

  • Support Local Sustainability

Get involved in community gardens, food education programs, or sustainability initiatives, helping people grow their own food and develop lifelong skills to reduce reliance on food banks.

  • Meet Like-Minded People

Volunteering with Myrtle House connects you with others who share your values of compassion and service. Build new friendships and be part of a positive, inspiring team.

  • Feel Good About Helping

Giving your time to help others is deeply rewarding. Knowing that you’ve played a role in lifting up your community can provide a sense of purpose, pride, and personal fulfilment.
